You may have heard the song, but the cartoon video is great. There's No One as Irish as Bareach O'bama.
On the pessimistic side, there's a pretty persistent meme out there comparing Obama to Mikhail Gorbachev. Moribund economy, social system on it's life-support, even war in Afghanistan and then the high hopes raised by a brash young reformer.
Cartoonist Ted Rall took this tack as early as last July

And check out this Idleworm post in the same vein; All Hail Comrade Obamachev
Then again some of the reaction to Obama is just weird. Like this Japanese action figure for example;
And the less said about this, the better....

Considering how freaked gun rights people have been about Obama's election, buying up guns and ammo in record numbers, an assault weapon brandishing Obama is deliciously ironic!
I just randomly ended up in this blog, and though this is an old post, I wanted to comment about that last link "better left alone". (I am from Spain).
Regardless of anyone's feelings or opinions (absolutely respected on my part) about those Christmas figures, I wanted to provide some context. The figure shouldn't be taken as a literal statement about Obama, but more as a sign of his popularity. Here's a picture of the same figures depicting Prince of Asturias (son of the King of Spain), his wife and daughter.
